The moment of discovery
The next morning, craving something sweet, I opened the package to wash them. Upon removing the wrapping, my gaze fell upon something strange. Among the strawberries, there was a thin, elongated object that didn’t belong. At first, I thought it might be a thread or string left behind during the packaging process. However, something made me doubt it: the object seemed to move, barely, as if it were breathing.
My heart started beating faster. I watched closely, and I could see small, repeated movements, as if it were trying to escape the plastic.
