This information is crucial because cancer survivors have a right to reliable information, not sensationalism or misinformation. You have already been through enough. You need clarity and confidence to know which foods help you heal and which secretly harm you.

Misconceptions about nutrition and cancer

There is a lot of controversy surrounding diet and cancer. Before we delve into the two foods that have been scientifically proven to increase the risk of cancer, let us first dispel a number of common misconceptions.

Sugar: It is true that cancer cells use glucose as an energy source, but all cells in our body do so. Completely eliminating sugar from our diet would therefore be pointless, as cancer cells would simply find another energy source. Consuming phytoestrogens does not increase estrogen levels in the body. In fact, recent studies have shown that consuming phytoestrogens actually lowers the risk of breast cancer recurrence, even in hormone-dependent breast cancers.
